TODD SNYDER FALL 2012 @ LV WOOD

Last week we were happy to host the launch of our friend Todd Snyder’s Fall 2012 collection. The line is incredible. Sharp, classic menswear with some modest  tweaks.

From GQ:

Todd Snyder has emerged as an exciting voice in the menswear landscape by crafting classic suiting and sportswear that feels approachable for any guy. With his solid design pedigree at both Ralph Lauren and J.Crew, he understands American style, which is why this season the designer is going abroad, expat-style, to Paris. The collection, titled “American in Paris,” promises a more bohemian take on Snyder’s timeless pieces with an undercurrent of military inspiration. Todd once again chose LV Wood to host the event.

Project Focus: Brewster Carriage House

Doing business in this field every day there are projects you like, projects that you love, and there are projects that have you standing back looking at it saying, “Wow, this is cool.”

The Brewster Carriage  House is one of those projects.

View the project gallery here.

The building at was a manufacturing facility for the Brewster Carriage Company in the mid 1800′s. The firm produced the finest horse drawn carriages in the country, and after winning the gold medal at a Paris exposition in 1878, some would say the best in the world.

The developers of this project held true to that standard using the finest quality  interior elements,  including LV Reclaimed White Oak wood flooring throughout the building’s residential units.

The product of choice was Reclaimed White Oak, Milled Face, Matte Natural,  4″ – 6″ – 8″ random width.

Development, branding & Interiors: Little Red House
Architecture: Architectonics
Project Management: Faithful & Gould
Sales: Douglas Elliman

Brooklyn Circa 1978

A friend clued us into this amazing collection of photographs taken by Dianda Nooney from 1978 – 1979.

These whimsical photos of typical Brooklynites in their homes and businesses are full of vintage style and inspiration, perhaps for your ongoing project?

Over the period Ms Nooney shot over 200 homes yielding over 2000 images

Note the wood wall paneling in a few of these shots… Personally, I think it is making a comeback. Thankfully, wall to wall shag is not experiencing the same renaissance…
