Classic Car Club's Clubhouse

Although Classic Car Club has sinced moved out of this space located at Pier 76 off the West Side Highway in Manhattan, the iconic clubhouse was brought to life by Marc Thorpe - architect, designer, and longtime member of the Classic Car Club.  LV Wood Reclaimed Oak Hit or Miss Face was used thoughtfully throughout, connecting the bar and lounge areas through its worn grain and earned patina, setting a deliberately raw tone against exposed steel I-beams and perforated metal mesh.  The wood doesn't soften the space so much as ground it, lending the dark, moody interior a sense of history that poured concrete and freshly milled lumber simply cannot replicate.
